These adverts are great examples of Korine’s signature style and treatment of subject matter (Kids, Gumo). Surreal, eccentric, unpredictable slices of life are his staple. But the ads are not just that. In their own sappy way they are awfully touching because of the always slightly off kilter, if not altogether spooky, characters. And they are memorable.
