Some months back we blogged the work of a Montreal street artist before ever knowing who he was.

He hooked up with us a while after our blog post.

His street name is Stikki Peaches.

Then we all agreed it would be profoundly awesome to have our Woolf + Lapin crew shadow him on one of his nightly runs.

Besides mashing pop cultural images he always leaves the snarky cutline “What If Art Ruled the World?” on his pasties.

This very cool and very out of the box stencil of Léa Roback came with several others of feminist labor movement figures.

Is this the work of a female street artist?

Would love to know.

In the meantime, a couple of months back we blogged the work of the street artist responsible for the pasties with the cutline “What if art Ruled the World?”

And just a couple of weeks back we hooked up with him.

He is the artist known as Stikki Peaches.

Woolf + Lapin collaborators Aardman, of Angry Kid and Wallace and Gromit fame, are doing it again.

Their newest outing is called The Pirates, Band of Misfits and will be in theaters this week.

It stars Hugh Grant.

Interesting to note that’s it in 3D, not the usual claymation fare we are used to from Aardman.

W+L can’t wait to see the animation style in its entirety as well as their very own brand of British humor.

Rap Arabe won the best Canadian documentary prize at 2012′s Toronto Reelworld Film Festival.

This is Franck Blaess’s The Girl in the Rubber Mask starring Mistaya Hemingway.

We are proud to welcome Mistaya whose globe-trotting as a dancer has seen her take on roles in the world’s most prestigious dance companies, including Montreal’s very own La La La Human Steps.

Mistaya now works in Montreal and while she continues to dance on creative collaborations, her focus is now on acting in film projects and music videos. She has acted in notable films and commercials by Franck Blaess, Jérémie Saindon, Alexandre Franchi, Renata Morales and Sabrina Reeves.
