Dan Shea

Dan Shea has an M.F.A. in Playwriting from Ohio University. His feature screenplay, THE P.A.N.D.A. WAR, won the 2012 Austin Film Festival Screenplay Competition and has W+L client Brent Bonacorso attached as director. His horror script BUTCHER HOLLER, which made the Bitch List (recognizing the best unproduced scripts with strong female driven stories), and KILLDEER are both great horror scripts. His feature adaption of the children’s classic, HEIDI, has been read and loved worldwide, and he recently completed a commissioned feature screenplay, IN THE AIR.

His feature SHINY PENNY won Creative Screenwriting Magazine’s screenplay competition and W+L client Patrick Boivin is attached as director, and BrightLight Pictures has just picked it up after AFM. In addition to writing, he is an actor and comedian, having performed in numerous plays and venues in Chicago.

Dan was also story consultant on the Daniel Radcliff film Imperium, directed by Daniel Ragussis.
