Tiny Inventions is the directing team of Max Porter and Ru Kuwahata. Known for their playful and humorous mixed-media animations, Tiny Inventions combines handcrafted art, photography, and digital techniques.
Since they began collaborating in 2007, Max and Ru have directed and produced broadcast commercials, music videos (They Might Be Giants), PSAs, a large-scale toy line and independent films.
In 2011, Variety Magazine selected Tiny Inventions as an animation talent to watch out for.
Their most recent film, “Something Left, Something Taken”, has screened in over 120 festivals around the world and won 10 international awards.
Recent recipients of a fellowship with the Netherlands Institute for Animated Film, Max and Ru produced the animated short, Between Times.
Their latest is called A Perfect Houseguest.
