Martin discovered the theatre thanks to improv. A theatre and acting lover, he continued to ply his trade while attending l’Université Laval in French studies. But it’s really at l’École nationale de théâtre that he developped his acting chops.
Normand Chouinard, Denis Bouchard, Isabelle Leblanc, Claude Poissant, Guy Nadon, Peter Batakliev and Pierre Bernard have greatly influenced the way he views his art.
During his graduating year, André Melançon taught him acting for the camera and has since participated in the shoot of La Bierman (a project for graduating TV students at UQAM).
You may have seen him Le dindon (remixé), a workshop focusing on the play of the same name by Georges Feydeau. This summer, Martin will be working in Quebec City for les Fêtes de la Nouvelle-France.
