The 30th edition of Fantasia promises to be a landmark one. Beyond opening with Teenage Sex and Murder at Camp Miasma, the festival has assembled an outstanding lineup of screenings and special events.
Among the highlights is a masterclass with Nicolas Winding Refn, whose Her Private Hell will screen at the festival. Refn will also receive the prestigious Cheval Noir Award in recognition of his outstanding contribution to genre cinema. Other can’t-miss events include conversations with Jane Schoenbrun, Hannah Einbinder, Alice Maio Mackay, Louise Weard, and Avalon Fast; Hard Core Language: A Chat with Bruce McDonald; and a masterclass with Robert Lepage.
On the film front, we’re especially eager to catch Godhead, The Last Temptation of Becky and Colony, the latest feature from Train to Busan director Yeon Sang-ho.
