Nitro Rush at 19th Shanghai International Film Festival

Director Alain Desrochers Nitro Rush will get its world premiere at the 19th edition of the festival in the Jackie Chan Action Movie Week competition section.

Jackie Chan Action Movie Week is a grand showcase of stuntmen’s extraordinary performances and the innovation of special effects and technology in action filmmaking. It aims to cultivate new Chinese action film stars and to promote Chinese action movies worldwide.

Jackie Chan Action Movie Week established a professional election committee made up of members of action film associations, action film directors and media representatives to select the films in the competition section. The awards from the Jackie Chan Action Movie Week are called “man of steel,” which will be awarded through audience voting at the designated cinemas, and range from Best Stunt, to Best Fight to Best Actor.

The film was penned by Woolf + Lapin’s very own Martin Girard.

Best of luck to both Martin and Alain!

Maker Studios Gather Talent in NYC

Last week, during the Digital Content New Fronts 2016, Maker Studios gathered, among others, PewDiePie, Romeo Lacoste and Patrick Boivin.

This was an intimate showcase where Maker talent mingled with buyers as the network announced new concepts.

“We have worked hard to perfect the process of how we work with clients, to bring them tangible results with a focus on media and content creation,” said head of sales Jason Krebs. “While anyone can create individual components of what we offer, Maker Studios’ uniquely packaged programs truly set us apart in the ecosystem.”

“In a media landscape where video has become commoditized, now, more than ever, it’s important to focus on differentiated strengths,” added Gabriel Lewis, head of development & studios. ”

Woolf + Lapin’s very own Patrick Boivin has been part of this process and we can’t wait to launch what he’s come up with!
