Woolf + Lapin Briefs for May 2011

Christian Lalumière’s Training Session has been selected for the upcoming Worldwide Short Film Festival in Toronto. Meanwhile, Christian is at work on this ad campaign .

Woolf + Lapin has just signed budding actors Colombine Trudel and Laurence Houde-Roy.

Gilles Brien and Ginette Boulanger sign on to do a family feature film for Christal Films. The film will be helmed by director Ghyslaine Côté.

Actor David Bushman is delighted to be cast in a workshop for a new musical at Lincoln Center Theater with the Tony Award winning team of director and choreographer, Susan Stroman, and renowned lyricist and composer, Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty.

Director Bachir Bensaddek’s Rap Arabe is a big winner at the Festival Vues d’Afrique, garnering the ACIC/ONF prize for best indie production and people’s choice award, Espace Monde MusicAfrica.

Marie-Josée Saint-Pierre’s animation film on Claude Jutra received funding from SODEC.

Jim Donovan wraps a Flashpoint episode for the new season . “I guess I’m excited to see what comes next- I’m curious about the world beyond these borders and how FP might open up those doors,” Jim says. “There are so many shows I am a fan of, maybe this experience is that gateway.”

MISE À JOUR DU 9 MAI : Rap Arabe a été récompensé par deux fois lors de la Remise des Prix qui clôturait le Festival Vues d’Afrique, dont le prix ACIC/ONF de la meilleure production indépendante et également le prix du public Espace Monde MusicAfrica.
