In 2017, his work LA FEMME ET LE TGV (Jane Birkin) was nominated for an Academy Award® and won the Swiss Film Award. In 2020, Timo completed the Master in Screenwriting at the art school of Zurich. He is now pursuing his feature film career mainly as a director. Meredith Hambrock’s New Novel: Other People’s Secrets
Meredith Hambrock has worked in writing rooms on over 125 episodes of TV comedy where she’s had the opportunity to write for many Canadian icons, among them, Michael J. Fox, Brent Butt, Russel Peters, and Bret the Hitman Hart. Best known for her work on the three-time CSA winning series, Corner Gas Animated, she was recently nominated for a Leo Award for Best Screenwriting-Animation.
Her darkly funny crime novel, Other People’s Secrets is being published in September 2022 by Crooked Lane Books. Early reviews are calling it “a perfectly plotted quest….with real characters whose humanity and depth reaches out from every page” and have praised its “madcap energy and inimitable voice.” A three-time finalist for the CBC Short Story Prize, in 2019 she received a Canada Council Grant for her short story collection, currently titled Woof! after publishing in national magazines Maisonneuve and Descant.
