In Patrick Boivin’s new stop-motion clip, Georges St-Pierre kicks Ninja butt for Google’s Nexus 7.
In hindsight, it seems almost inevitable these two should collaborate on a project together.
And to what effect!
The clip is also a good opportunity for the UFC champion to bring visibility to his anti-bullying foundation.

If you don’t know already, Woolf + Lapin is a true fan of street art.
Under all its guises.
Well, new Woolf + Lapin collaborator Barry Russell really hits the mark with his installation People You Might Know, un portrait Montréalais.
The installation showcases 21 photographs of anonymous Montreal artists.
The photographs are pasted in situ across the city’s most unlikely spots, overtaking if not altogether improving an otherwise drab city panorama.
Barry Russell is a DOP and photographer .
Woolf + Lapin is happy to welcome him. And looking forward to collaborating on upcoming projects.

Woolf + Lapin collaborator Coolrain Lee builds some awesome handmade action figurines.
This Seoul-based talent has been working with Nike, among others, and putting out some very cool work in the process.
He’s also done some pretty wicked stuff for the NBA.

Here’s an interview with first-time director John Kahrs.
He discusses the impetus of his apparently groundbreaking animation short: missed connections.
According to slashfilm.com, the film introduces “a groundbreaking technique that seamlessly merges computer-generated and hand-drawn animation techniques. First-time director John Kahrs takes the art of animation in a bold new direction with “Paperman.” Using a minimalist black-and-white style, the short follows the story of a lonely young man in mid-century New York City, whose destiny takes an unexpected turn after a chance meeting with a beautiful woman on his morning commute.”
Disney employees have tweeted the film and some go so far as to claim it’s “the dawn of a new age in animation.”
The short is scheduled to premiere in theaters with Wreck-It Ralph this November.

C’est du grand art.
Un gros bravo à Danièle Desnoyers, ses interprètes (tous radieux et magiques, vraiment) et collaborateurs.
La pièce est présentée au Festival Transamériques 2012 (2, 3 et 4 juin, Usine C).

Some months back we blogged the work of a Montreal street artist before ever knowing who he was.
He hooked up with us a while after our blog post.
His street name is Stikki Peaches.
Then we all agreed it would be profoundly awesome to have our Woolf + Lapin crew shadow him on one of his nightly runs.
Besides mashing pop cultural images he always leaves the snarky cutline “What If Art Ruled the World?” on his pasties.

Their newest outing is called The Pirates, Band of Misfits and will be in theaters this week.
It stars Hugh Grant.
Interesting to note that’s it in 3D, not the usual claymation fare we are used to from Aardman.
W+L can’t wait to see the animation style in its entirety as well as their very own brand of British humor.
