Being Gregor is just one of their many successful projects. It is an immersive adaptation of Franz Kafka’s The Metamorphosis, bringing the classic story to life in a unique way. Players experience Gregor Samsa’s shocking transformation into an insect firsthand, feeling his growing isolation and helplessness as he navigates his deteriorating home. Along the way, they witness his family’s shift from concern to rejection, deepening the sense of alienation. Using interactive storytelling and atmospheric horror, Being Gregor captures Kafka’s themes of identity, dehumanization, and societal pressure. With its impressionistic art style and immersive environments, the experience creates a haunting and thought-provoking journey into one of literature’s most famous transformations.

Exploration Game The Memphis Chronicles is a mysterious tragi-comedy set in a place between worlds.

After a canoe trip goes sideways, you swim to the surface of the lake and emerge in a city filled with questions. Over the course of a day you can hope to discover what you’re doing here, who you are, and what connects: an elephant, well-dressed demons, an elusive arsonist, a homeless prophet, the Beatles, Stravinsky, the subterranean ruins of a long-lost civilisation, and you.

Wander through eerily familiar spaces, encounter enigmatic creatures, and peer into memories to find the comforting, unsettling and sometimes hilarious stories of Memphis. Progress happens in your mind, nothing keeps you from moving forward. You unveil as much of the mystery as you care to observe. Everything left unseen is forever left behind.

Every step takes you deeper into memory and meaning. The only way is forward. No matter where you’re from, Memphis is home.

SYMBIOSIS/\DYSBIOSIS is an immersive, Live-XR Multiplayer Performance. Imagine if we could see ourselves and the spaces in between one another. Sentience opens a gateway into this hidden world, where human consciousness connects with the biodata of living fungi. By blending real-time EEG streams and bio-electrical activity from mycelium, this immersive XR experience transforms the imperceptible into a sensory journey.

The actors remain stationary within the space, appearing only during their scenes, where they virtually interact with guests navigating the VR Live Performance. Nanotopia’s live soundscape is performed in quadraphonic setup. Touch-sensitive pads around a sealed terrarium transmit biodata into the VR, allowing guests to interact by placing their hands on the pads.

KUSUNDA is an interactive VR documentary, which is a voice-based virtual reality experience about what makes a language fall asleep and want it takes to awaken one. Lil Bahadur, an indigenous Kusunda shaman, is resigned to the fact that he has forgotten his mother, while his teenage granddaughter is determined to revitalise the language.

KUSUNDA uses a combination of techniques — photogrammetry, volumetric video, motion capture based animations and speech recognition — to take audiences on a unique interactive journey to Nepal.

The project pays tribute to the Kusunda people and their efforts at reclaiming their language. We aim to use the virtual reality piece as a tool for advocacy and activism within and beyond the community.

The African Space Makers aims to demonstrate how a creative class can become an agent of social, cultural and economic development and how these spaces are currently challenging the acceptance of established social norms on sexuality, gender, religion, minorities, and race. It consists of the creation of five artistic docu-fictions made in virtual reality (VR) on African urban heroes and the creative spaces that they have started. Each episode will be on a different art collective or individual that is currently contributing in reshaping the city landscape. It’s a virtual tour, a VR experience in the most exciting and interesting urban spaces in Africa (starting the first season in Nairobi). The protagonists of the videos will be the space activators, the African creative class.

The only way to understand Urban Storytelling is by experiencing it. Choose which film director you want to be and experience urban Africa with your own crew. This is your assignment, and this is how you are going to understand what it means to be an African Space Maker, a real urban hero!

Nairobi is only the fist season of the African VR series. Stay tuned!
